2004 BMW M3

The iconic E46 M3. The most sought after era M car, and this example, being offered extremely cheap. Awesome mileage, 106,xxx.  Clean title in hand. Runs excellent and drives excellent.  The 3.2L S54 purrs, and the 333bhp is seriously impressing.  Project for 1 large reason. SMG ISSUES. The car ran and drove fine, when the notorious SMG failure came.  A used OEM SMG pump was installed, and the car runs and drives, but we are unable to code the pump to remedy the warning lights. An excellent candidate for a 6-speed swap or fix and drive. Brand new Injen intake, New Megan Racing strut brace, tint and more.  The Carbon Black exterior is sleek. Upgraded carbon fiber vented hoot (painted to match). Hood does need to finish.  Was just painted by the body shop.  Need to install remaining pieces (included) like hood retainers. 4 good tires on OEM M3 wheels. All lights are good, minus the passenger side low beam. Climb inside and find a very well-kept Schwartz 2 Black leather interior.  Keyless entry, power everything.  M badged floor mats.  Cold weather climate package with defrost side mirrors, heated seats, and ski pass through.  Premium Harmon Kardon audio with crisp output. Power seats, paddle shift, and more.

Summary of work needed:

  • SMG work.
  • Passenger low beam headlight bulb (~$20 on amazon)
  • Passenger side fender trim (ebay, ~$50)

The E46 M3 doesn’t come up often in cheap project form. Especially not a hard top coupe.

New parts done this year include:

  • OEM fuel pump
  • Battery
  • Injen intake
  • Megan Racing strut brace
  • OEM Mass Air flow Sensor
  • SMG pump (oem, used)
